Check & Connect Mentor-Collaborate with as-risk students supporting their engagement, learning and achievement. Work closely with students, families, staff and community partners to foster resilience, problem-solving and academic success.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree and relevant experience in education, psychology, social work, mental health or youth development work.
- Understanding of adolescent development and challenges.
- Familiarity with school systems, processes and frameworks (MTSS-B).
- Ability to identify and address barriers to school engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with young people.
- Belief in every student’s potential, emphasizing strengths and learning capacity.
- Collaborative skills to work effectively with school teams and to advocate for students.
- Cultural competence and responsiveness for students and families from diverse backgrounds
- Long-term commitment to supporting students and families, persisting through challenges.
This Grant Funded Position is 7 hours per day/183 days per year with up to 35 additional hours outside of the school year
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour commensurate w/ experience
