Job Summary and Qualifications
What will you do in this role:
- Develops a nursing plan of care, identifies problems and needs for improvement.
- Works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, nurses and other staff in implementing the plan of care for patients, acting as a patient advocate and liaison with other disciplines.
- Uses creativity and sound judgement in adapting nursing intervention to fit patients' needs.
- Evaluates and patient outcomes in light of assessed needs, planning and interventions employed.
- Act as a resource person for staff and participates as a team member in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement appropriate nursing actions that meet patients' needs and problems in an efficient manner with appropriate utilization of resources.
- Evaluates and documents nursing care in perioperative record at time of admission to transfer of patient or discharge.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of beginning of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of beginning of employment
- Registered Nurse in State of New Hampshire or active compact RN license required
- Associate Degree in nursing required
- Previous PACU experience preferred
