Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 4 or 4.5-day workweeks. Weekends off!

Naticook Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. We are a small animal practice with three compassionate and experienced doctors. We take pride in providing high-quality care in a supportive, collaborative and friendly environment. We’re looking for a friendly, professional and dependable individual who enjoys working with both people and pets to contribute to our positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to grow in a collaborative setting. Experience with surgical procedures and dental care is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right individual who shares our commitment to learning and excellent patient care.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring

Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent, positive presence on the team.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to remain upbeat, courteous, and calm under pressure during busy or challenging situations with clients and all other team members.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, e-mail, and data entry. Experience using Avimark is a plus.
Experience with standard office procedures and multitasking in a busy environment.
Flexible attitude with the ability to adapt changing priorities and assist where needed.
Eagerness and willingness to learn.

How You'll Spend the Day

Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, dentals and surgical procedures
Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care
Performing laboratory tests, collecting samples, and running diagnostics
Administering medications, vaccinations and treatments as directed by a doctor
Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting client communication
Providing compassionate and safe handling and care for patients of all temperaments
Helping to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
