Responsibilities

Lead daily walks, ensuring each dog receives personalized attention, exercise, and mental stimulation.
Monitor dog behavior during walks, using animal handling skills to ensure safety and comfort for all pets involved.
Maintain clean and organized equipment, including leashes, harnesses, and waste disposal supplies.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding each dog's needs, behavior during walks, and any concerns that arise.
Assist with basic pet care tasks such as feeding or administering medication if required by clients.
Uphold safety protocols through animal restraint techniques and proper handling to prevent injuries or escapes.
Keep detailed records of each walk, noting any behavioral changes or health issues observed.

Requirements

Proven experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued.
Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe interactions.
Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of dog food or equipment safely and comfortably.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor when communicating with pet owners.
Familiarity with pet grooming, kennel experience, or veterinary experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs daily in various weather conditions; heavy lifting may be required at times.
