The primary responsibility of the Automation Technician are to address the development of End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) and automation of Plastics injection molding production. In addition, support the maintenance of this equipment and support production and tooling as necessary.
DUTIES AND RSPONSIBILITES
Assist in the development for the design and build End-of-Arm Tooling and associated automation.
Provide project updates to management clearly and on time in writing
Preventive and Corrective maintenance of automation equipment (i.e. molding machine robotics, assembly equipment, End-of-Arm Tooling, packaging and conveying equipment, vision inspection systems.
Preventive and Corrective maintenance of injection molding and support equipment as requested.
Analyze data to determine possible trouble areas.
Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial electrical problems as necessary.
Other tasks as assigned (i.e. cleaning machines, screw and barrel maintenance, building maintenance etc.).
Help promote a safe work environment within the organization.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing technician role within the plastics injection molding or associated industry.
High School diploma or equivalents.
Extensive Knowledge of End-of-Arm Tooling, packaging and conveying equipment, vision inspection systems.
Understanding and interpretation of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
Extensive knowledge on the care and use of a wide variety of tools.
Basic to mid-level machining skills.
Extensive knowledge of Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge of injection molding and assembly environments.
Working knowledge of robotic automation, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
