Auto Body Technician
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to handle repairs from start to finish. This role focuses on structural and body integrity, preparing vehicles for a seamless hand-off to our paint department. You will work in a professional, fast-paced environment dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship. We are offering a competitive Sign-On Bonus of $2000 for the first year. Come join our family!
Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Repair: Manage the "start-to-finish" body process, including teardown, structural repair, and reassembly.
- Metalwork & Fabrication: Perform panel replacements, MIG welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Frame & Structure: Utilize frame-straightening equipment and specialized tools to restore vehicle geometry.
- Damage Assessment: Conduct accurate repair planning and execute on it.
- Collaboration: Prepare and prep repaired surfaces to a flawless standard before turning work over to the painter.
Qualifications & Skills
- Expertise: Proven experience in heavy-duty auto body repair and vehicle restoration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and power tool operation.
- Certifications: Aluminum welding and frame-straightening certifications are highly preferred (but not required).
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle systems; dealership or mechanic experience is a plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and the physical demands of a busy shop.
