Position Overview
As a 2-AXIS CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce aerospace engine components to exact specifications. You’ll work closely with CNC programmers, engineers, and quality inspectors to ensure every part meets the highest standards of accuracy, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, feeds, speeds, and part quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining challenges.
- Maintain accurate setup sheets, inspection records, and production documentation.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Experience operating 2-AXIS CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and metalworking fundamentals.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high‐quality work.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‐functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or high‐precision machining.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
- Experience machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloys.
- Exposure to multi‐axis machining centers.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming concepts.
