Position Summary
Atlantic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (AOSM) is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to support our providers in delivering exceptional orthopedic care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-driven, and committed to providing a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Accurately position patients to obtain optimal imaging while ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Review images for quality and accuracy prior to submission to providers
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment and exam rooms
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR system
- Assist providers with clinical workflows as needed
- Ensure proper infection control and sterilization procedures are followed
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
- Support overall clinic operations and assist with patient flow as needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- State licensure as required (NH)
- BLS certification preferred
- 1+ year of experience in orthopedic or outpatient setting preferred (but not required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protection standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable working directly with patients in a clinical setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
- Ability to assist patients with positioning and mobility as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds occasionally
