Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment including lathes, mills,
grinders, and related tool room equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and GD&T to
manufacture production and prototype components.
Fabricate, repair, and modify components, tooling, fixtures, and prototype parts to
specification.
Use precision inspection tools to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance.
Apply shop mathematics, tolerances, material properties, and machining methods.
Support manufacturing, engineering, and R&D through timely completion of work
orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room environment.
Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Prioritize and schedule Tool Room work orders to meet manufacturing and engineering
needs.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and on-the-job training to machinists.
Set up, operate, and validate complex, prototype, and CNC machining processes.
Collaborate with Engineering on prototype development, process improvements,
tooling, and equipment introduction.
Track work order progress and communicate status and risks to management.
Monitor tooling condition, coordinate refurbishment, and manage tooling inventories.
Support special manufacturing, engineering, R&D, and facilities projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment.
Ability to accurately read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and GD&T.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
