Duties
- Safely operate delivery trucks along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and organize bakery products with care, including heavy lifting of cases and pallets.
- Deliver orders promptly to retail stores, restaurants, or other clients while providing excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm orders, answer questions, and promote additional products through upselling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including pricing adjustments and sales records.
- Conduct merchandising activities by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are attractive and organized.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving or route delivery roles; military driving experience is a plus.
- Strong math skills for handling pricing adjustments and inventory counts.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers professionally and confidently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
- Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules, route planning, and paperwork accurately.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in driving large vehicles preferred.
