A Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing issues with gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and completing repairs to keep them safe and reliable. This role includes communicating with drivers about concerns, performing routine maintenance, and replacing parts to ensure proper vehicle function.
Responsibility Profile
- Assess gas and diesel vehicles to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, brake systems, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems
- Communicate with drivers and clients to understand vehicle issues and explain needed repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and report safety or performance concerns
- Prepare repair quotes and work estimates as requested
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
- Keep shop equipment, tools, and work areas clean and safe
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay range: $25-$35 negotiable depending on experience
