We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team on the second shift. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repairs or testing.
- Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with electrical systems, HVAC units, or other industrial equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics for complex machinery repairs; follow safety protocols during all service procedures.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance and traceability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with fleet experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic and heavy equipment technician required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive repair.
- Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues effectively.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, greasing, filter replacements and other diesel specific requirements .
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting; comfortable working in various environmental conditions; committed to safety standards at all times.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
