Entry-Level Rating Specialist - Insurance

Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Rating Specialist - Insurance
- Review new business and renewal applications
- Review requests for policy changes
- Verify all pertinent information to produce accurate quotes, policies, and endorsements
- Research and obtain missing rating information by utilizing all resources provided
- Perform calculations to produce accurate and timely quotes and premium charges by using carrier rating systems and other rating sources provided by company
- Create and maintain rating manuals
- Review and implement carrier bulletins and release notes
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications of the Entry-Level Rating Specialist - Insurance
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Rating and/or commercial insurance experience, or basic knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages and rating principals preferred
- Certificate in General Insurance (AINS – Intro, Ethics, INS21, INS22, INS23) or ability to obtain one within the first year of hire preferred
The Entry-Level Rating Specialist - Insurance works Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm for $50K-$52K/year, DOE. We look forward to hearing from you!
