Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks per OSHA, DOT, and state and federal guidelines and laws.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, route logs, and inspection reports.
- Assist in yard operations by helping customers, putting orders together for delivery, maintenance of the yard, and other duties.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; familiarity with route driving is essential. 1 year CDL experience preferred.
- Skilled in load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods while maintaining safety standards.
- Knowledge of truck safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving licenses (CDL).
- Strong physical stamina for yard work tasks such as lifting freight and managing equipment like forklifts.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers effectively.
MUST have reliable transportation. Attendance and punctuality is vital in this position.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
