Camp Nurse; Weekly Position Summer 2026 | New Hampshire | One-Week Commitment
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our camp health team for one week this summer. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care to campers and staff in a residential outdoor setting, serving as the primary health provider during your assigned week. Your clinical expertise will ensure campers receive attentive, professional care while they enjoy one of the best weeks of their summer.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive camper and staff assessments by monitoring vital signs, evaluating symptoms, and determining appropriate care plans
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments in accordance with camp standing orders and New Hampshire state regulations
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all campers and staff throughout the week
- Manage the Health Lodge, including daily sick call, injury assessment, first aid, and supply organization
- Collaborate with camp leadership and on-call medical supervision to coordinate care for any health incidents
- Communicate with parents regarding camper health concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure Health Lodge compliance with NH youth recreation camp licensing requirements and HIPAA standards
Skills
- Current RN, LPN, APRN, or PA license in good standing; NH license or compact state license preferred
- Experience in pediatric, emergency, urgent care, or medical-surgical settings strongly valued
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring
- Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions without on-site physician support
- Strong interpersonal skills — able to connect with children, families, and staff with warmth and professionalism
- Ability to perform calmly under pressure in a fast-paced, outdoor residential environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and current CPR/AED certification required; additional pediatric or emergency certifications are a plus

Schedule
One-week residential commitment — arrive Sunday, depart Friday. Several weekly slots available throughout July and August. We are happy to work around your schedule.
