Rubber Prepping
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor rubber extrusion equipment to produce materials according to production specifications and quality standards.
- Perform rubber milling processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to product requirements.
- Inspect finished and in-process materials to maintain high quality control and minimize defects.
- Roll and prepare rubber into “pigs” or other required forms for downstream production or storage.
- Process and recycle production scrap material in accordance with company procedures and sustainability practices.
- Accurately complete production documentation, logs, and reporting to support traceability and compliance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety procedures and assisting with additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing, production, extrusion, or industrial operations preferred.
- Familiarity with rubber processing, extrusion equipment, or similar machinery strongly desired.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and apply basic problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable attendance record and ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime as needed.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, pushing, pulling, standing for extended periods, and frequent bending or stooping.
