KidStrong Lead Coach is a role model Coach at the center – helping the GM and AGM lead the way and serving as a top-performing Coach and incredible liaison with families. When not coaching – the Lead Coach’s time is spent supporting the GM and AGM in center operations, interacting with families, and developing and refining the skills of the Coaches on their team. The typical schedule includes 4 weekday and 1 weekend shifts with specific hours being dependent on the needs of the center. This role serves as center leadership when the GM and AGM are not on site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
COACHING
- Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development. Coaching no less than 12 classes a week.
- Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
- Must accomplish all current accreditations (Level 1 / Level2)
- Understand the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
- Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.
- Maintain dynamic, fun, and motivation. and professional demeanor when leading the class. Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
- Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
- Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
- Lead Coaches must coach 5 days per week, 1 of which is required to be a weekend day.
- Assist the GM and AGM in leading monthly center staff programming meetings where staff receive training for the following month's programming.
- Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the GM and/or HQ Training and Certification team.
- Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the GM.
- Learn and manage KidStrong Camps and Birthday Parties.
LEADERSHIP
- Provide support and be available for the team through Slack.
- Assist AGM in creating and communicating Coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms,
- Connect with families of the center and find ways to proactively keep them engaged with KidStrong. Foster the mentality that we don’t want Families to Leave KidStrong, doing all you can to retain Families.
CENTER OPERATIONS
- Be the leader of the center when the GM and AGM is not at the center.
- Demonstrate understanding of KPIs that drive overall center performance and support the GM and AGM plans to maximize performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong).
- Assist in the execution of community events as necessary.
- Support the GM and AGM and center-level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc.
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
- Partner with your GM and AGM on needs, KPIs, class ratings, and overall center performance.
- Provide excellent customer service to families and handle their needs when in the center.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
- Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding a variety of topics
- Previous experience in management is preferred but not required
- Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum is preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
- CPR certified
- Self-starter who just gets the job done
- Enjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching and mentoring
