Location: Portsmouth, NH
Summary: Searching for a GM certified automotive technician or experienced technician , responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing said repairs, service, and/or maintenance work. Open to technicians that do not have GM experience or dealership experience. Paid GM training program along with paid ASE training program. Family owned dealership with a Monday through Friday work schedule, relaxed low stress work environment, and A/C shop. Pay negotiated based on experience and skill set which can be either flat rate or hourly depending.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities include the following:
· Examines customer vehicles.
· Identify and perform necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
· Documents services performed in a legible manner
· Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
· Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
· Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area!!!
· Participates in required training
· Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
· Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
· Complies with Company policies and procedures
· Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
· Other duties as assigned
Automotive Technician Qualifications/Desired Education:
- High School Diploma
- Associate Degree
Field of Study/Work Experience:
Automotive
Desired Work Experience:
3-5 years dealership experience preferred but not required
Education/Experience:
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to company insurance
Computer Skills:
Basic Computer skills to utilize training and perform required diagnostic procedures
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
