General Description
The Athletic Operations Coordinator is responsible for all activities related to the athletic equipment/uniform room, as well as storage areas, the Smith Center, and athletic spaces.
Duties/Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day equipment room operations, including:
- Packing and loading uniforms/equipment for away games
- Manages uniform inventory, distribution, collection, maintenance, and end-of-season return process
- Repair and launder uniforms
- Communicate uniform and equipment needs to Athletic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Business Office for seasonal uniform charges
- Manage game-day and practice operations, including the setup, breakdown, and organization of fields, sidelines, locker rooms, and sports-specific equipment (goals, nets, fences, clocks, bleachers, towels, skate sharpening, water distribution, etc.);
- Serve as a visible, professional, and approachable on-site representative of the school; welcome visiting teams, officials, and visitors
- Monitor field, facility, and equipment conditions to ensure a safe, high-quality playing environment; communicate needs for repairs or replacements as necessary;
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the Smith Center, East Crescent, outdoor spaces, including routine turf inspection, debris removal, and litter cleanup;
- Partner with the Facilities department to assist with field lining and seasonal setup changes.
- Organize, stock, and maintain athletic storage spaces, improving systems for inventory tracking and equipment access;
- Responsible for the distribution, collection, and seasonal turnover of athletic equipment;
- Support field setup needs for off-season training and summer programs;
- Responsible for the Micro Bird, including issuing and collecting keys, fueling, cleaning, moving vehicles for game day, and communication to maintenance about any problems.
- Maintain a consistent presence during after-school athletic hours, especially in peak seasons;
- Adapt to shifting daily priorities in support of the Athletic Department;
- Collaborate closely with coaches and athletic staff to meet program needs.
- Oversee the condition of the locker rooms and team room, and address issues with the student athletes and the coaches' field
- Prepare the ice and water coolers for distribution to all team venues on a daily basis
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance as necessary regarding building maintenance, both inside and outside.
Category:
Non-exempt hourly position 40 hours per week during the school year (Mid-August to Mid-June)
Flexible schedule based on athletic/summer programs needs (afternoons, evenings, and weekends
required)
Part-time hours during the summer months

Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in a school athletics environment preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Budgeting and inventory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to prepare nets for games and line fields
- Knowledge of and ability to run game clocks and to train others
- Knowledge of and ability to run the sound and projection systems in Radley Court for various events
- Technology skills needed are email, Google Docs, Google spreadsheet, and internet familiarity with the Arbiter.com website for officials scheduling and invoicing
- In conjunction with other department members, oversee student and other spectator behavior at all home events, ensuring a high level of respect for all
- AED certified, CPR certified,
- Willingness to obtain a Commercial Boat License and become a certified lifeguard is preferred
- This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, and reach.
- Close vision is required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
