The Playground Project Manager works alongside the Northern New England Territory Manager to take playground projects from award through final walkthrough. You’ll be the day-to-day point of contact for schools, municipalities, contractors, and installation crews. The job is to make sure each site is ready when the crew arrives, everyone knows what they’re responsible for, and the customer knows what’s happening next.
What you’ll own
- Project handoff and site readiness. Review the sold scope, drawings, budget, and schedule with the Territory Manager. Visit sites to confirm layout, access, staging, and site prep needs. Verify who is handling demolition, drainage, grading, and other work that has to happen before installation.
- Scheduling and logistics. Coordinate equipment deliveries, installation crews, surfacing contractors, and other trades. Obtain quotes and arrange rentals, dumpsters, and other jobsite needs. Confirm that the site, materials, and crew are ready before mobilization.
- Installation and community builds. Help crews confirm layout in the field, coordinate with the general contractor or owner, and resolve issues as they come up. On community builds, work with UltiPlay’s foremen and the local volunteer lead to plan the build day and organize volunteers around the crew’s work.
- Customer updates and project costs. Keep customers informed about dates, decisions, and delays. Track job costs and document changes to scope, price, or schedule. Bring changes that require approval to the Territory Manager with a recommended next step.
- Walkthrough and closeout. Coordinate required inspections and the final customer walkthrough. Manage the punch list, follow up on outstanding items, and turn over project photos, warranty information, and maintenance documents.
What we’re looking for
Someone who can manage several active jobs, read site and equipment plans, and communicate clearly with a school principal, a site contractor, or an install foreman. Experience in construction, landscape construction, playground installation, or field project management would be a strong fit. The role involves regular travel across the territory and calls for someone who can make routine field decisions independently, follow through on details, and know when to bring others in.
