About

Hello! My name is Gianna Bauer, and I am from Windham, New Hampshire. I attend the University of New Hampshire Main Campus. I am pursuing a major in Mathematics in Secondary Education at the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS). My academic journey has been diverse, having switched my major three times, which has given me a deep familiarity with the UNH curriculum and a variety of classes.

Beyond academics, I have been an active leader on campus. I served as the Outreach Co-Chair for the Society of Women Engineers, promoting STEM outreach initiatives in local middle schools. Additionally, I contributed to the UNH community as a member of the UNH Student Alumni Association, fostering connections between students and alumni. In 2023, I also held the role of Orientation Leader for the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), helping international students transition smoothly to university life.

Outside of school, I have customer service and interaction experience as a front-end clerk at Hannaford's. In the past, I have enjoyed taking part in leadership roles such as various camp counselor positions and being a TA for a Spanish class in high school. I have attended two leadership retreats I enjoyed and learned from, and I hope to use the skills I have learned in future opportunities. During college breaks, I work as a Sales Associate at Orangetheory Fitness in Salem, New Hampshire. Throughout the school year, I freelance as a Knack Tutor, assisting peers in courses I earned a B+ or higher.
