We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Truck Operator to join our team and play a key role in delivering products safely and efficiently to our valued customers.
Position Summary
The Boom Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating a boom-equipped truck to load, transport, and deliver lumber and building materials to residential and commercial job sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a boom truck to load, unload, and deliver lumber and building supplies.
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle and boom equipment in compliance with DOT and company standards.
- Accurately verify delivery orders and ensure correct materials are delivered.
- Assist in the yard with material handling, stocking, and staging as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Ricci Lumber in a professional manner on job sites.
- Follow all safety procedures, including securing loads and adhering to OSHA/DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B (or higher) driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Boom certification preferred; training available for qualified candidates.
- Experience operating a boom truck or similar heavy equipment strongly desired.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
- Strong knowledge of lumber and building materials preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
