Job Summary
The Auditor position is responsible for accurately processing payroll, maintaining financial records, and performing gaming day audits to ensure compliance with property Internal Controls, company policies, New Hampshire Lottery Commission (NHLC) gaming regulations, and federal and state requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work within deadlines.
Duties
- Process biweekly payroll, including employee hours, deductions, benefits, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits of source documentation and financial transactions to ensure compliance with Internal Controls, NHLC gaming regulations, and state and federal regulations.
- Research, investigate and correct financial data variances and discrepancies.
- Review daily gaming activity for currency transactions reporting and suspicious activity reporting and ensure the property is logging all required currency and check transactions. File any required CTRs and SARs in the timelines required by Federal BSA regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements, ATM activity statements, NRT terminal activity statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Record and post daily revenue, expenses, and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and other financial and statistical information for management review.
- Assist with audits by state agencies, external auditors, and internal compliance teams.
- Ensure timely filing of payroll taxes, garnishments, and other required reports.
- Ensure timely filings of W2-G, 1042-S, and other required state and local reports.
- Support the finance team with additional bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in payroll, auditing, and/or bookkeeping required (casino or hospitality industry experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll regulations.
- Ability to file, use spreadsheets, word processor, standard office equipment and ten key calculator.
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (Sage, QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex or similar).
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required NHLC gaming license.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position: schedule may vary based on business needs and reporting deadlines-includes weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,498.86 - $54,794.32 per year
