We’re seeking a data-driven Procurement Specialist to help optimize purchasing, control costs, and drive smarter sourcing decisions across the business.
Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist will manage and optimize purchasing across food, beverage, packaging, equipment, and services. This role will leverage data and analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve vendor performance, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality across all locations. The ideal candidate is analytical, strategic, and collaborative, with strong restaurant or hospitality procurement experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Savings
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities across all spend categories.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and vendor consolidation efforts.
- Develop and maintain cost models, pricing benchmarks, and savings trackers.
- Continuously evaluate supplier pricing, market trends, and inflation impacts.
Data & Reporting
- Build dashboards and reports to track spend, price variance, compliance, and savings.
- Partner with finance and operations to forecast costs and support budgeting.
- Monitor purchase patterns, waste, and usage to improve efficiency and margin.
Vendor Management
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Establish KPIs and scorecards to evaluate vendor performance.
- Support onboarding, auditing, and compliance for all suppliers.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with culinary, operations, and store teams to source new products.
- Support menu development with cost analysis and ingredient sourcing.
- Ensure supply continuity, mitigate risk, and resolve shortages or disruptions.
Process Improvement
- Standardize purchasing processes and improve systems and workflows.
- Support implementation and optimization of procurement platforms and tools.
- Ensure purchasing compliance across all locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Hospitality, or related field.
- 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience (restaurant, hospitality, retail, or CPG preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, BI tools, or procurement software.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and deliver measurable cost savings.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working with multi-unit restaurant operations is a plus.
