We are looking for a full time Material & Inventory Specialist.
Hours: 6-2:30 Monday-Friday. Overtime when needed is a must

The Material and Inventory Specialist is responsible for gathering, allocating, and delivering needed material to Prep Area or to presses according to the production schedule, and the return of unused materials back to stock. Must enter accurate inventory transactions into ERP system. Possess problem solving skills to identify system and count discrepancies and take appropriate corrective steps. Will be primary person performing cycle counts according to schedule while working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor. Cycle counts require accurate item counting, weigh counts, and system inputs to maintain reliable inventory counts. Will act as backup to Shipping and Receiving team as necessary.
Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Following all health and safety requirements, safety policy and company policy. Report any observed violation to the superior or hazardous situation to the Safety Committee
- Assist with unloading delivered material from trailer trucks and package delivery services
- Loading/unloading trucks and moving palleted materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment to safety requirements
- Perform inventory Cycle Counts reliably and accurately according to a daily/weekly schedule and entering counts into Excel tracker sheet and ERP system
- Gather, allocate, and issue planned material to the production area according to the schedule.
- Ensure returned unused material is processed to final location and stored to product specific requirements
- Coordinate with staff that the shipping department is available to receive and ship material and products between 6:00am and 2:30pm
- Inventory control includes processing inventory, cycle counting, and accurate record maintenance.
- Organizing shipping floor and warehouse to accommodate daily workflow.
- General warehouse upkeep for a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse
- Accurate documentation and labeling
- Assist Quality with monitoring compound shelf life.
- Transact returned production material back to stock
- Maximize warehouse rack space
- Inventory transactions as required for scrap
- Return excess materials back to stock
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thoughtful, fair, and even-handed temperament
- Team oriented
- Follow product specific receiving, shipping, and storage requirements
- Computer literate
- Excel experience is helpful
- Prior ERP/MRP system desired
- Good general computer skills
- Ability to multitask, and follow custom specific requirements for shipping
- Ability to read, understand and follow written work instruction
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to communicate issues
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School or equivalent
- Inventory control knowledge
- Shipping and receiving experience helpful
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and Freight Forwarders
- Forklift certified – highly skilled (tight spaces) preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
