Job Summary
Housewright Construction Inc. is seeking experienced Master Carpenters to perform advanced rough and finish carpentry, millwork, and cabinetry. This role is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures and furnishings, while also serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and train other carpenters. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Perform skilled carpentry work in maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of buildings, structures, and equipment in compliance with all codes and safety standards.

Construct, install, and repair woodwork including:

Cabinets, doors, shelving, fixtures, furniture, countertops, decks, stairways, scaffolding, and fences

Walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and partitions

Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, sketches, specifications, and work orders with accuracy.

Monitor and report material needs to the foreman in a timely manner.

Anticipate workflow impacts across trades and communicate proactively to ensure project continuity.

Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior carpenters.

Ensure work meets budget, schedule, and quality expectations.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily cleanup.

Follow all company safety policies and report hazards immediately.

Suggest improvements to increase job site efficiency and safety.

Maintain company vehicles and report any issues promptly.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills

Advanced knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, methods, and techniques.

Proven ability to perform high-level carpentry work across a variety of projects.

Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and related equipment.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train others.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams, architects, and vendors.

Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Education & Experience

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands regularly
