The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a 6-person paving crew to install hot mix asphalt. Paving foreman experience preferred but not required. Duties, Responsibilities, & Requirements
· Arrive 30 minutes prior to the crew to get ready for the day’s work.
· Ensure that all equipment is fueled and ready to go before starting work.
· Responsible for ensuring that equipment is kept clean and that daily maintenance is being done.
· Complete daily paperwork, such as job sheets and time books.
· Communicate mix & trucking needs with the asphalt plant operator.
· View the jobsite with the Paving Superintendent and/or Salesman before commencing work.
· Responsible for job layout, checking grades, and confirming mix quantities.
· Communicate the requirements of each job to the crew members.
· Coordinate with traffic control.
· Communicate and work with customers and contractors to address any jobsite issues as they arise.
· Communicate job changes and issues to the Paving Superintendent and/or Salesman.
· Ensure that they crew is working safely & efficiently.
· Act professionally.
· Responsible for the quality of each job.
· Ensure that the jobsite is cleaned up before leaving.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Previous paving experience required.
· Prior paving foreman experience preferred.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to lead a team.
· Ability to carry and lift heavy loads and climb steps and ladders.
· Basic math skills.
· Basic jobsite layout skills.
· Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: $33.00 - $41.00 per hour
