Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Partner / Senior Attorney to join our esteemed legal team, managing a substantial book of business valued at over $100,000. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to lead complex cases across diverse practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal expertise, strategic negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to client service. You will play a pivotal role in shaping legal strategies, managing client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of legal excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a robust portfolio of clients across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, personal injury cases, and general & commercial litigation.
- Develop tailored legal strategies to meet client objectives while ensuring compliance with all relevant statutes and regulations.
- Draft and review complex legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments with precision and clarity.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and statutory interpretation.
- Negotiate favorable terms on behalf of clients in settlement discussions or contractual agreements through effective legal negotiation techniques.
- Manage all aspects of case progression from initial consultation through trial or settlement; oversee procedural law requirements and ensure timely motion preparation.
- Maintain meticulous case management records using advanced legal case management systems; monitor deadlines and court filings diligently.
- Provide expert guidance on statutory legal research and procedural law knowledge to junior staff or clients as needed.
- Stay abreast of evolving laws in areas such as employment law case experience and personal injury law to provide current and comprehensive advice.
Experience
- Proven experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on multiple practice areas listed above; minimum of several years in a law office environment handling diverse cases.
- Demonstrated success managing a significant book of business valued at $100K+ with established client relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw; proficient in legal writing and drafting complex documents.
- Strong background in litigation procedures, motion preparation, contract drafting, and procedural law knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients in various legal settings.
- Familiarity with personal injury case experience and employment law case experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional research skills coupled with the ability to interpret statutes and regulations accurately.
- Prior experience utilizing legal administrative tools for case management; adept at balancing multiple priorities efficiently.
