About Rotor
Rotor is a startup based in Nashua, NH that is revolutionizing how aircraft are piloted. We are building autonomous full-scale helicopters designed to make helicopters and other VTOLs radically safer and more accessible.
We’re a 40-person team that has successfully built and flown two R44 Airtrucks including all the flight controls, communications, and software technology that gives pilots better situational awareness than the cockpit, enabling operations at night and in low visibility and preventing accidents caused by pilot disorientation and human error.
About the Role
We are looking to hire a part-time Bookkeeper to support the finance function at Rotor. This person will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger entries, working closely with the CFO. This is a part-time position based in Nashua, NH.
Primary Responsibilities
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Process accounts payable, including coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments.
• Process accounts receivable, including generating invoices and tracking collections.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
• Maintain organized, accurate financial records and supporting documentation for all transactions.
• Prepare routine financial reports and account summaries for the CFO.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Track expenses and assist with budget monitoring.
Additional Responsibilities
• Help maintain vendor and customer records in the accounting system.
• Support ad hoc financial administration tasks as needed.
Position Expectations
• Work a part-time schedule in-office (Nashua, NH) with the possibility of transitioning to partial remote work in the future.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in handling company financial information.
• Meet recurring deadlines for reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close tasks.
• Communicate proactively with the CFO on outstanding items, discrepancies, or process improvements.
Requirements
Candidate must have:
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills and working with financial data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
• Proficient in English language.
• Ability to work well on a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Trustworthy and discreet when handling sensitive financial information.
Compensation
$24-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
