Seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher
for October - February 2025
Woodland Community School is a progressive school for children 5-12 years old.
Empower children by placing them at the center of our learning community, cultivating their respect for self and others, and inspiring an appreciation of the natural world.
BA or BS required. We require a teacher who is a guide, a resource, and a facilitator to be an active participant in each student’s learning process.
Candidates must possess:
a love of working and playing with children
experience teaching literacy and mathematics in a multiage setting
keen observation skills
knowledge of child development
a reverence for nature
an understanding that children are capable
a desire to collaborate with a team of dynamic teachers
Experience with Project Based Learning, Science Based/Systematic Reading Instruction and Compassionate Communication preferred. Teacher Certification Preferred.
