Role Overview
As a Tree Climber, you’ll be hands-on in all aspects of tree care—performing pruning, removals, cabling, and safety inspections. You’ll work alongside a Certified Arborist and a supportive and safety focused crew, using top-quality tools and equipment to deliver exceptional tree care services.
About the Role:
As an Experienced Tree Climber, you’ll be an integral part of our professional tree care crew. You’ll use advanced climbing, pruning, and rigging skills to perform tree care at the highest standards, while contributing to a strong, team-oriented culture focused on safety and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform pruning, removals, and cabling using proper climbing and rigging techniques.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and other tree care equipment.
- Assist and mentor other crew members in climbing and safety practices.
- Communicate effectively with the crew and clients to ensure top-quality service.
- Uphold ANSI and company safety standards on every job site.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced, safety-focused tree care professional who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working as part of a skilled, supportive team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional climbing experience using rope and saddle techniques (no spurs).
- Expertise in proper pruning practices for both large shade trees and ornamental species.
- Ability to identify native and introduced trees and shrubs, with a working knowledge of their characteristics and growth habits.
- Strong understanding of tree care safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency with chainsaws, rigging, and other tree care equipment, including aerial lifts and bucket trucks.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude that contributes to a strong crew culture.
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required).
- ISA Certification or willingness to pursue certification encouraged.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of climbing experience in arboriculture or a related field
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Class A or B is a plus—training support available)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and comfort working outdoors in all weather
