Position: Regional Bridge Subsidy CoordinatorFull-Time | Coos, Carroll, or Upper Grafton Counties
Supervised by: Chief Operating Officer, Mental Health
Northern Human Services (NHS) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Regional Bridge Subsidy Coordinator to assist adults with serious and persistent mental illness, including individuals experiencing homelessness, in securing and maintaining stable, affordable housing. This position collaborates closely with NHS Adult Case Managers, ACT Teams, and CSP Team Leaders to develop and coordinate housing opportunities using short- and long-term subsidy resources, including Section 8 and Permanent Supportive Housing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate housing placements through outreach to landlords and housing providers
- Conduct face-to-face housing presentations and assist with rental applications across housing platforms
- Coordinate housing searches, schedule showings and interviews, and support informed housing decisions
- Ensure accurate execution and management of subsidy contracts
- Maintain up-to-date income and benefit documentation to ensure accurate subsidy calculations
- Provide housing advocacy and tenancy support including budgeting, lease compliance education, household setup, safety planning, and problem resolution
- Serve as liaison between landlords and tenants to resolve housing issues
- Maintain working knowledge of housing policies and regulations (including Section 8 and public housing) to support housing transitions
- Collaborate with county agencies and service providers to support housing stability
- Prepare internal MHA reports including demographic data, service documentation, housing activities, and outreach efforts
- Coordinate and document housing subsidy applications submitted to the Bureau of Housing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of Human Services education and experience with NH housing systems and regulations
- Experience with state-funded housing programs, direct service coordination, or social services preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and agency systems
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for transporting consumers as needed
- Successful criminal and background checks
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting hourly rate: $23.98 per hour, final rate based on relevant experience and qualifications
