Job description:
WHS Homes, Inc. is seeking a hardworking and dependable team member to join us at our manufacturing facility in Claremont, NH. You will be part of the production process, helping turn raw timber into finished products that will become someone’s dream home or project. Proficiency with forklifts and accurately measuring are required for this role.
The Shop/Yard Laborer will be responsible for:
- Assist in the handling, sorting, and preparation of logs for processing.
- Operate basic machinery and tools (training provided) to cut, shape, or finish wood products.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts or other equipment.
- Inspect products for quality, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support the production team with various tasks to meet deadlines.
- Efficiently run a chainsaw.
- The ability to complete general carpentry.
Candidate requirements:
· Proficient forklift operator.
· Accurately read and use a tape measure.
· Work safely and accurately with both heavy objects and sharp tools.
· Lift or ability to maneuver at least 75 lbs.
· Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
· Work 10-hour days, Friday is overtime as needed.
· A strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
· Ability to work in a physically active role—lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
· A commitment to safety and teamwork.
