Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The days and hours are flexible. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children. A commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety while adhering to HIPAA regulations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride.
- Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review for each patient visit.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care.
- Strong background in medical terminology, documentation review, medical coding, and infection control measures is essential.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
