Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual for the position of Tower Foreman within our dynamic New Hampshire team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and field service operations, with expertise in high voltage, low voltage, and fiber splicing. This role involves working with advanced technologies such as 4G/LTE, 5G, and 3G, while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks performed. The Tower Foreman will be responsible for the management of a tower construction crew. Provides direction and supervision. Directs the completion of assigned projects. Coordinates with customers and suppliers. Maintains a safe and productive work environment. Trains crew members. Maintains vehicles and equipment in good working order. Performs tower construction work. 85% of working environment is outdoors. Continuous travel. Pay is Commensurate with experience
Duties
- Build an antenna support structure (monopole, self-supporting, guyed and or tree towers) with the use of a crane.
- Build a guyed tower using a crane and a gin pole with knowledge of slings, shackles, grip hoists and all other aspects of rigging for gin poles.
- Motivate and rate performance of subordinates.
- Manage projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinating with customers.
- Allocation of time efficiently and effectively, keeping track of critical information, schedules and deadlines.
- Communicates well oral and written information accurately, concisely and in a form appropriate to the target audience.
- Maintaining company vehicles and tools in good working order.
- Trains subordinates.
- Climbs and works on towers.
- Maintains work site safety, conducts safety training and ensures the safety of all personnel.
- Collects, reviews and checks crew members reports and submits to IC&E as required.
- Maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.
- Listen to others and responds professionally with timely and accurate information.
- Turn in all billing, antenna worksheets upon completion of jobs.
- Familiar with local carrier upgrades and installations.
- Call in hours as required on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill Sets, Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 5 to 7 year(s) Tower construction, electrical, technical or mechanical experience.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to safely climb with total confidence and work comfortably on all climbable structures to include heights of over 200 feet.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Valid drivers license (CDL preferred)
- Demonstrate a safe driving record is a requirement
- Use of standard office equipment (telephone, cell phone, voicemail, FAX, photocopier, digital camera, personal computer and software (MS Office))
- Perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Knowledge of technical measurements & geometry
- Operate survey equipment (i.e. compass, line-of-sight propagation equipment, mirrors, transit, etc.)
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics

- Test and trouble shoot mechanical problems
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of Anritzu test equipment and X-L microwave path alignment equipment.
- Knowledge of correctly and safely rigging a tower, monopole, self-supporting towers and any other types of antenna support structures.

- Stock and re-stock truck and shop shelves to the proper locations
- Demonstrate knowledge of weather seals and connectors
- Demonstrate principles and practices of construction and maintenance of communication towers.
- Demonstrate principles and procedures involved with inspection of physical structures.
- Knowledge of proper and safe loading of tower hardware for transport.
