Everbrook Senior Living, a premier assisted living community in Allenstown, NH, is seeking a reliable and compassionate full-time Driver to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Resident Transportation: Safely operate a community vehicle (non-CDL) to transport residents to scheduled medical appointments, group outings, and personal errands.
- Safety & Assistance: Provide courteous "door-to-door" assistance to residents, ensuring they safely board and exit the vehicle. This includes assisting individuals with mobility challenges (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs) and those with cognitive impairment. Must be able to assist residents occasionally during outings, such as shopping trips.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip vehicle inspections (e.g., fuel, tires, lights) and maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.
- Community Support: During downtime, must be willing to help in other departments as needed.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies, including maintaining an impeccable driving record.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with community staff (Activities, Wellness) and residents to manage the transportation schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be able to obtain (or currently possess) a valid DOT physical certification.
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check as required by state regulations and company policy.
- Physical ability to safely assist residents and lift/move items up to 50 lbs.
- A compassionate, cordial, polite, and professional demeanor with a strong understanding of resident rights and dignity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in resident transportation, or driving for a healthcare or senior living facility.
- Experience working with seniors, particularly individuals with dementia or mobility limitations.
