Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager to lead a Seacoast hotel and restaurant. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, bringing extensive experience in food and beverage and boutique hotels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, ensuring guest room quality, and driving business success. The position offers a quarterly and annual bonus program.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of hotel operations including restaurant, bar, catering, rooms, and sales.
- Build and maintain a culture of gracious hospitality.
- Oversee staff training, development, and supervision to ensure high performance, adherence to standards and property culture.
- Manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and ensure compliance with health regulations across all departments.
- Maintain high scores in all measured areas.
- Respond to reviews and complaints in a timely manner.
- Manage room revenue in partnership with revenue director.
- Adjust controllable spending and labor based on forecasts.
- Ensure smart conservation in utility usage.
- Oversee weekly schedules and ensure productivity guidelines are met.
- Discourage unnecessary overtime.
- Create short- and medium-term forecasts.
- Create weekly and monthly corporate reports.
- Ensure weekly prospecting and new business development outreach.
- Achieve targets in revenue and profitability.
Experience
- Proven management experience in full service hotels with strong food and beverage knowledge.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices along with food safety regulations (including HACCP standards).
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational efficiencies.
- Ability to lead by example with excellent communication skills.
