Responsibilities
- Working floor nurse. Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations utilizing your physiology knowledge and medical terminology expertise
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, medication administration, IV infusion procedures, and catheter care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth
- Manage emergency situations including airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management with confidence and professionalism
- Conduct triage assessments for incoming patients, prioritizing care based on acuity levels in accordance with hospital protocols
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation accuracy, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), DRG assignments, and utilization review processes
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Proven experience in skilled nursing/long term care environments
- Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics including dementia care and memory care, or behavioral health settings
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records (PCC) and familiarity with medical imaging
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, CPT coding for procedures like suturing or spinal taps
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent patient assessment skills along with the ability to handle complex cases involving tube feeding, NG tube management, or neonatal ventilator support

Pay: $44.00 - $48.00 per hour
