Red Star Building Systems is an established and growing construction company, specializing in commercial drywall, painting, metal framing, and more. We are looking for an experienced foreman to add to our team. Ideal candidates will be experienced in installation, takeoff, and management aspects of commercial projects including both light and heavy gauge framing. These projects range from retail renovations to hotels and schools.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate commercial framing and drywall projects from start to finish
- Oversee the daily operations of the construction site
- Ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and GC to ensure project success
- Provide own basic tools and transportation to work site
- Review project plans and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and OSHA standards on the construction site
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
Skills that help succeed:
- Proficient in takeoff software for estimating and construction of plans/projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols in the construction industry
- Experience in both light gauge and heavy gauge metal stud framing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Familiarity with Procore or related software for receiving job updates
Pay scale may be adjusted within 6 months and based on experience level. We offer a semi-annual incentive bonus based on performance.
This position requires a candidate who has a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
