Job Summary: Generator Service Technician
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician will be a key member of our Service team. Working both independently and collaborating with other team members, you will interact with customers, perform routine checks, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on generators, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
*Must have some experience with small engines*

Key Responsibilities
- Complete required Preventative Maintenance and repairs of Kohler, Generac, and Briggs & Stratton standby generators.
- Provide superior customer service by answering any customer concerns/questions.
- Follow all manufacturer specifications, code requirements, safety regulations, and local guidelines to ensure the customers generator is running properly.
- Lead the identification and troubleshooting of service issues
- Maintain detailed paperwork & records to provide input for customer invoicing and warranty submissions based on work completed
- Complete manufacturer trainings
- Stock all necessary job materials, parts, and tools on company vehicles to ensure all parts and materials needed are available for the daily service jobs.
- General site preparation and clean up
- Perform system start-ups, test outages, and completion of maintenance checklists
- Maintain excellent condition of company tools and vehicles
- Remain up to date on product specifications, service bulletins and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Generator maintenance experience or related small engine repair experience preferred
- Ability to learn generator models, specifications, and diagnostic procedures
- Able to identify and resolve issues
- Excellent teamwork skills and communication – ability to foster a positive team environment
- Highly organized & have ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with others
- Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, and work with various tools
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have cell phone/texting capabilities
- Basic computer/tablet knowledge
- Must be able to obtain basic hand tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
