Position Overview
We're seeking an energetic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our innovative Wellness-4 Later Life™ program! This rewarding part-time opportunity (2 days per week) is perfect for someone passionate about senior care, activities coordination, and making a meaningful difference in residents' lives.
Schedule & Benefits

What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Previous experience working with seniors and elderly residents
- Hands-on experience with dementia care and memory support
- Background in activities department or recreational therapy
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

- Senior engagement and entertainment coordination
- Team collaboration and communication
- Physical fitness for active role
Your Exciting Role
Join our Life Enrichment Activities Program (LEAP) team and help implement our unique Wellness-4 Later Life™ program, based on seven dimensions of wellness: physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and environmental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Dynamic Activities: Facilitate engaging programs for independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents
- Creative Program Development: Brainstorm and implement innovative activities aligned with wellness dimensions
- Resident Assessment: Evaluate new resident interests and customize programs to individual needs
- Safety Management: Maintain safe, clean, organized activity environments with proper setup/cleanup
- Documentation & Tracking: Record resident participation, interests, and program effectiveness
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with LEAP Director, Exercise Physiologists, and multidisciplinary care team
- Relationship Building: Develop meaningful connections with residents through excellent communication skills
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives

- Memory care activities and dementia-friendly programming
- Multi-level care coordination (independent, assisted, memory support)
- Egis Memory Support Neighborhood programming
- Therapeutic recreation and wellness activities
