This is a part-time position, with a core schedule of Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The hours offer a degree of flexibility, which can be thoughtfully adjusted to accommodate class schedules.
What You’ll Do In this pivotal role, you will design and lead engaging group fitness classes, as well as provide personalized one on one instruction. Your responsibilities include:
- Cultivating an environment of health and joy by leading diverse group fitness classes.
- Designing and implementing effective fitness programs tailored to the unique needs and goals of our residents.
- Providing compassionate guidance and support, ensuring proper form and technique for every participant.
- Motivating and inspiring residents to embrace an active lifestyle and achieve their fitness aspirations.
- Conducting thoughtful fitness assessments and meticulously tracking progress.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive workout environment where every resident feels confident and encouraged.
The Ideal Candidate We are seeking an impassioned and skilled Fitness Instructor who understands the unique nuances of this environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior experience as a Fitness Instructor or in a related, relevant capacity.
- A robust knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and proper exercise techniques.
- The profound ability to design and modify fitness programs based on individual needs, goals, and capabilities.
- A proven track record in educating and motivating individuals across all levels of fitness.
- A strong familiarity with program design principles for both group classes and personal training sessions.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively demonstrate exercises and provide clear, reassuring instructions.
