.Chunky's Cinema is seeking a proactive and versatile Part Time Maintenance/Handyman to join our team! The hours will vary upon the Theater's needs and we are flexable with this. Most times we will be able to make a list of things that need to be done, and you can let us know what day you could come in. I am looking for someone that is versatile and has a good working knowledge of general maintenance. If you have knowledge of plumbing and electrical it would be a plus, but not required. Maintenance could range from fixing something to painting. The pay is $40.00 an hour, with weekly pay on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and painting to maintain property standards
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems, mechanical equipment, or plumbing issues
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, appliances, and building systems following established schedules
- Assist with residential painting projects to enhance property aesthetics
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades when necessary
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems troubleshooting
- Skilled in welding and other fabrication techniques for repairs or custom projects
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
- Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities management roles is a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments or large residential complexes is desirable
- Ability to use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools accurately for electrical testing
- Basic understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical systems
