The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a vacancy for a Full-Time Warehouseman.

Summary:

Performs general warehouse duties. Ships and receives breakable merchandise in a large central warehouse for delivery to state liquor stores while implementing and following all NH Liquor Commission rules and policies.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent credential.

License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License

Other Requirements: Because this position is located at the Liquor Commission Liquor Warehouse, candidate(s) must have attained 18th birthday on or before date of application. Frequent physical effort required in continuous lifting of material up to 25 pounds with frequent lifting of cases of liquor weighing up to 60 pounds.

Trainee Option: None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience as a storekeeper, stock clerk, in warehousing, operating forklifts or related experience.

Responsibilities:

DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):

Manages inventory levels, ordering process, and fulfillment of orders of supplies shipped directly to stores on a weekly basis.

Performs routine duties involving manual labor in packing breakable merchandise for the state liquor stores with a minimum of error and breakage.

Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts and walkies.

Exerts continuous physical effort as demanded while performing manual labor in loading and unloading trucks.

Exercises partial supervision over part-time and seasonal employees.

Labels cases with proper code numbers.

Provides guidance and cross-functional support to NHLC Warehouse staff.

Paints, cleans floors, and shovels snow as required.

Conducts physical inventory count and other inventory duties.

Continually monitors all activities to assure safe working conditions are practiced and all equipment is maintained and working within manufacturer guidelines.
