Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial and janitorial services, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to facility upkeep. This role is essential in ensuring that school premises are hygienic, well-maintained, and conducive to learning. The position offers PART-TIME employment with paid holidays. Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across school facilities
- Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring sanitation standards are met
- Perform custodial tasks such as window washing, surface cleaning, and disinfecting high-touch areas
- Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of school facilities
- Operate cleaning equipment including buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers effectively and safely
- Monitor supply levels and restock cleaning materials as needed
- Follow safety protocols related to industrial cleaning, chemical handling, and equipment use
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and stripping floors
- Familiarity with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines and procedures

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
